Adult Classes

Adult Art classes: Ages 14 and up.

September Watercolor & Ink Course weekly classes during the month of September focus on a mix of painting and drawing techniques. An introduction to the color wheel, watercolor painting techniques and drawing techniques will be explored. Drawing techniques explored in ink include contour drawings, hatching, pointillism and more. All supplies included.

October Drawing Fundamentals will continue drawing exercises exploring various drawing tools to produce different effects. pencils, charcoal, etc. Keeping a sketchbook diary will also be introduced.

Nov/December Pencils and Mixed Media weekly classes during November and into December explore colored pencil and mixed media art, focusing on drawing techniques and combinations of media (watercolor, pastels, etc.)

Wednesdays 4pm - 4:45pm (2024 Dates: Sept 4, 11,18,25 Oct 2,9,16,23 Nov 6,13,20, and Dec 4.)

$200 per month ($50 per class paid monthly)

*multi course discount = preregister for all three months of classes and get $10 off per month ($30 savings). *discounts not combinable.

Adult Early Bird Sketchers Sip your morning brew while sketching with friends. drawing techniques will be explored each week, along with various props and still life materials. A creative start to the day for beginners or advanced artists. Pick up your fav coffee from across the street at Wonderstate before class, bring your own beverage to sip, or enjoy a complementary cup of coffee/tea at the shop and get busy sketching with new or old friends. Drawing paper and materials will be available for use in the classroom.

Friday mornings, September 4 through October 24. 8:15-9:00am.

$125 per person per month or $235 per person for full fall session.

Adult early bird beading Sip your morning brew while beading with new or old friends. Work on a variety of beading projects while gleaning inspiration and assistance on methods, design elements, and techniques including clasps, knots, multistrand, etc. A great way to start the day with crafting and creativity while making some new jewelry to wear. Grab your preferred cup of coffee across the street at Wonderstate before class, bring your own beverage, or enjoy a cuppa whatever coffee/tea I've got brewing and join us early bird beading artists.

8:15 - 9am Wednesday mornings $15/person per session includes cord and clasp for one project per session. Beads and additional supplies can be purchased as you work. Wednesdays Sept 4 through Oct 23, 2024. Registration is monthly= $60/month or $100/entire fall session.

*Our classroom is tiny and groups are kept small for individualized instruction, so classes may fill up fast. Interested in a class that has reached capacity? *All classes taught by Stacie Anthony. Stacie is owner of the rock shop since 2015, homeschooling parent, artist and jewelry designer. Stacie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her education included studies in the field of education with fieldwork, volunteer work, tutoring, and student teaching in the Milwaukee public schools. Stacie was a substitute teacher in the driftless area for several years and previously taught art classes to children and adults through her art studio.
