Road Construction

Yes, it's true, Highway 171 has been targeted for an upgrade.  Road closed? Not yet... When you drive out this way you'll notice the construction crews are preparing to get busy on Hwy 171 and they've already marked our road closed. They haven't begun work yet on our little section of 171 and from what I've read, the road will remain open with at least one lane for the length of the project, with the exception of any culvert replacements. I'll keep you posted when it gets messy around here, but in the meantime, to the best of my knowledge, there's smooth sailing.  The upside?  The construction is projected to be completed by mid-August just in time for orchard season, and then we will have a beautifully repaved highway for some seriously smooth sailing!
