Gifted Earth Rock Shop now sits on the edge of certified wildlife habitat. What's that mean? We have made it a priority to keep natural spaces wild and native for the birds and the bees, read more here. We are currently open Tuesdays through Saturdays at 48099 State Hwy 171, Gays Mills, WI 54631. We are located above the village of Gays Mills on Orchard Ridge, just east of Sunrise Orchard.
Update Road construction on Hwy 171: Road closed? Not on the west end... When you drive out this way you'll notice the construction crews are starting to get busy on Hwy 171 and they've already marked our road closed. They have started work on the east end of our little section of 171, but that's still approx. 5 miles from us. However, that east end of the road is closed (at hwy 61) and from what I've heard, it is impassable. From what I've read, the road will remain open with at least one lane for the length of the project, with the exception of temporary closures for any culvert replacements. So far, it's still peaceful at the shop and we are open!
Update October 2024: Autumn is the season of change and I am excited to announce one more big change for the Rockshop…the rock shop is moving! I anticipate to remain in our current location through Christmas and we will relocate to Gays Mills, with a projected reopening in January. The space we are growing into is in an inspirational, yet down-to-earth community.
Update October 2024: The rock shop has been on a 10 year plan for a name change and…we are now well into our ninth year under current ownership. It took several years to come to a decision on a solid new business name, one that honors our past, yet better represents our present and future. So, drumroll please… Welcome to Gifted Earth Rock Shop! In the weeks and months to come, you will see us transition fully into our new name. However, our founder, Gary Krause, will continue to have a place in our signage, and in our hearts, and in decisions I make for the business. -Stacie Anthony, owner since 2015
We specialize in metaphysical crystals, mineral specimens, fossils, lapidary equipment, tools & supplies. We carry local rock and fossil specimens from the Midwest (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa) as well as from all other parts of the world, mainly Morocco, Mexico, Madagascar and Brazil. In addition, our customers are guaranteed to find unique gifts made by local owner/artist Stacie Anthony (custom jewelry and artwork) and from around the world, (such as stone carvings, chess sets, lamps, book ends, wind chimes and more). We also carry Fair-Trade and earth-friendly gifts. Our “Gifted Earth” permanent collection features rare and unique specimens used in our educational programs, as well as museum quality show pieces we have acquired.

OUR STORE HOURS: We are currently OPEN Tuesdays through Saturdays in our new location at 48099 State Hwy 171, Gays Mills, WI. Hours: Tuesdays through Saturdays 10:30-4:30. We are available other times by appointment. Please note we will be closed Saturday July 11th for a family event.
